FoundHer Law is designed for founders and owners that need a legal partner to deliver practical, business-minded support that is affordable and timely.

We primarily handle contracts and legal issue spotting. Our mission to help businesses build a solid foundation for whatever the future holds. Part of that foundation is making sure that risks are identified and managed. FoundHer Law's service offerings can be used by any size of business. It's never too early or too late to get ahead of potential problems.

According to the 2024 Small Business Office of Advocacy Small Business Profile summary, women own about 44.1 percent of small businesses in the U.S., which is more than 15 million businesses. FoundHer Law is focused on supporting these women but welcomes all clients.

Jolene Marshall is the lawyer behind FoundHer Law. Jolene is an experienced attorney who has spent more than 20 years working in-house at the interaction of business and law. That experience means that she understands how legal decisions affect your company's operations, plans, customers, and personnel. Her approach is to move the business forward through identifying real issues, explaining the options clearly, and helping you make decisions that makes sense for you business.

All of FoundHer Law's services are offered on a flat fee. We know that the ability to plan for expenses is important when you own a business and we never want to surprise you with a bill! Also, we think completing a project and delivering results is a better indicator of value than time spent. We will work with you during intake to customize a flat fee based on your needs and timing. That said, all services can be billed on a time spent basis if you prefer.

We know that the pace of business is fast and you don't always have the luxury of time. We commit to responding to all requests within 2 business days at the latest. Responses will either include completed work or an ETA so you can plan accordingly. If you do have something that needs urgent attention, please let us know!

The FoundHer Law team is licensed only for Washington state and cannot currently take clients from other states.

We use AI thoughtfully, where it can improve speedy and efficiency. But every legal recommendation and deliverable is reviewed and guided by an experienced attorney. AI can provide a great starting place but the real value of a legal partner is in the judgment, strategy, and client-specific advice that AI cannot deliver.
